General Guidelines

Protect your investment by avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive heat, and humidity, all of which may cause fading or cracking. Use coasters, placemats, and trivets to shield surfaces from moisture and heat. Note that dark fabrics, particularly denim, may transfer dye and cause discoloration. Outdoor pieces should be stored indoors or covered when not in use to extend their lifespan.

Upholstery

Vacuum or brush lightly to maintain the fabric’s texture. Avoid pulling loops or exposing to sharp objects.

Vacuum regularly using a soft brush attachment. Blot spills promptly with a clean, dry cloth. For stains, gently clean with mild detergent and water, testing first in an inconspicuous area.

Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Condition every 6–12 months with a suitable leather cream. Avoid exposure to direct heat, oils, or alcohol-based cleaners.

Restore texture by gently brushing or steaming in the direction of the nap. Pressure marks are natural and can be softened with steam.

Stone & Composite Materials

Clean with a soft damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals that can damage the glaze. Use coasters to prevent stains and surface damage.

Clean with a damp cloth and pH-neutral soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners and standing water to prevent surface weakening. Use mats or coasters and cover when not in use outdoors.

Marble is porous and susceptible to etching. Clean gently with a soft cloth and pH-neutral soap. Avoid acidic or oily substances and use coasters to prevent stains. Periodic resealing is recommended.

Outdoor

Clean gently using a soft brush and a solution of one part neutral detergent to five parts cold water. Pat dry, then air dry for 2–3 hours before covering. Avoid extreme temperatures. Do not machine wash, dry, or dry clean. For tough stains, spot bleach after testing.

Powder-coated aluminum frames should be wiped with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid standing water to prevent corrosion. Store indoors or under cover when not in use to maintain the finish.

Paper Cord Seating

Clean spills immediately with a damp white cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners. For light cleaning, use plain soap flakes dissolved in water.

Solid Wood and Vaneer

Dust regularly with a soft cloth. Wipe with a damp cloth when needed and dry immediately. Protect surfaces using coasters and pads against heat, moisture, and scratches. Avoid direct sunlight and humidity fluctuations that can cause warping or fading. Use wood polish sparingly and avoid harsh chemicals.

First, we’d like to emphasize that the covers are not removable. That said, to clean your Rove Lab™ furniture, we recommend following these simple steps:

• Blot spills immediately. Our fabric is made from 100% polyester and has a spill-proof finish, making it easy to blot away spills. Use an absorbent paper towel to soak up any liquid right away. The fabric is designed to resist damage, so don’t worry about the spill causing harm.

• Treat stubborn stains. For any stains that don't lift with blotting, dampen a cloth with warm water. Gently dab the affected area—avoid rubbing, as this can damage the fabric. The stain should lift easily without the need for harsh chemicals.

• Avoid removing covers. We do not recommend removing the covers, as the fabric is specially treated to be low-maintenance. The spill-proof finish helps reduce the need for washing, making your couch easy to maintain with minimal effort.

By following these steps, you can enjoy clean, well-maintained furniture with minimal effort.
